The social function of music as entertainment, self-expression or cultural identity is important to Cubans.This video looks at different Cuban musician's practice, from street or restaurant music in Havana to concerts and musical activities among Cubans in Madrid. New genres and musical expressions interpretating the Cuban traditions in new ways are represented by Kelvis Ochoa (lives in Madrid) and Telmaris (lives in Havana) The material for the video is recorded with the video function of a digital still camera.
