La Valla-The Young Men (duration:5.41 2005) was shot with the video and sound function of a digital still camera. In a documentary collage, we try to depict the emotional and mental state of young Cuban immigrants. We mix footage from Norway and Cuba to give an impression of the differences in possibility, conditions and life-style. This video was presented at the exhibition "Navigating globalization" connected to the interdisciplinary conference of the same name at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway (see the website of the Globalization Program at NTNU for more info) The title "La Valla" means "the arena" and refers to the traditonal space erected for cock fights. La Valla-The Young Men was exhibited in connection to La Valla-The Old Men.
