A SHIP WITH A VIEW- PROJECT AT MS INNVIK HERB GARDEN FOR MS INNVIK

Since January 2010 we follow the developments in Oslo's central harbour area from the perspective of MS Innvik. Innvik and Nordic Black Theater is important cultural factors in Oslo with a range of activities: Theatre school, stage shows, concerts, film festivals, seminars, a B&B and café See website

During the spring we will develop a garden project for the ship kitchen, an ecological herb garden.

Bjørvika in Oslo is situated between the medieval origin of our city and the well-organized renaissance style grid of stone buildings established by the Danish king Christian the 4th after 1624. Today the former industrial area is developed through the building of prestigious cultural institutions, such as the Opera which was the first building, the new Munch Museum and Oslo's new main library will follow. About the development, see the website with plans for the area at http://www.haveiendom.no/eng/
Will the diverse activities at MS Innvik find a place in the new centre of Oslo? The ship that can no longer sail, is moored just across the bay from the new opera house, a reminder of cultural and social practices that develops as part of the life of a city.
